Lately, I've been creating instructional videos on Linux for CBT Nuggets. The first series is for beginners and there is now another one that covers more advanced topics. I think the videos (distributed on CD) do a good job of helping someone learn Linux. Basically, the videos are composed of live screen captures while I'm talking. Parts of the videos are like chalk board discussions where I'm scribbling and talking.
